Hello! My name is Arturo D. Colon Anguita. I am from the Puerto Rico, the nation without nationalism, the oldest colony in the world and the most gorgeous place to live. I am a graduate student of International Relations at the City University of New York. Right now Im working with the preliminary research of my thesis on "How globalization is changing the roles of the State in domestic and international affairs".
My research interests are State Theory, identity and nationalism as social constructions, globalization, the political economy of global inequality, post-structuralism and the perils of mankind occasioned by technology, violence and madness. Also, Im working with research methods and statistics. My academic inclinations are based on International Relations, Social Theory, Critical Theory and Political Geography. As geographic area of study I choose Latin America, mother of grate people like Don Luis Ferré, Pablo Neruda, Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, Luis A Colon and Ruperto Anguita among others.
